The photo was taken on Super Bowl Sunday 2008. Ed had just watched the New England Patriots not win the Super Bowl. In one of the greatest upsets in modern sports history, the New York Giants beat the Patriots 17-14. In the hospital bill auditing game, Ed wins with remarkable consistency, no matter how large and powerful the hospital, and he doesn't even have to wear shoulder pads to do it.

Ed founded Edward R. Waxman & Associates in 1998. The company has been saving uninsured people money on their hospital bills ever since. Ed's background in local government administration prepared him well for negotiating with hospitals, working with detailed matters and handling multiple projects simultaneously. His lack of a medical background has never impaired his ability to audit hospital bills. All in all, he's done very well in the medical field for someone who goes pale at the first sight of blood, especially if it's his blood.
